The Ledbury Poetry Competition is a prestigious event that takes place annually as part of the Ledbury Poetry Festival, held in Ledbury, England. Eligibility Criteria
The competition is international, open to poets writing in the English language.
This is open to anyone aged 18 years or older. Poem Requirements:

Maximum length of 40 lines

Rules & Guidelines
Participants may enter up to 10 poems at any time.
Poem Length: Each poem must not exceed 40 lines. This limit applies to the written lines of the poem, excluding titles, epigraphs, line spaces between stanzas, and dedications.
Submission Method: All applications must be submitted online through the entry form provided on the official competition page.
File Format: Please submit each poem as a single PDF file. Each poem should be submitted as a separate document, with up to 10 documents allowed per application. The title of the poem should be included within the poem, and each file should be named after the title of the respective poem.
Anonymity: The competitor's name must not appear in the poems or in the document file names. Names should only be included on the entry form details.
Originality: All entries must be the original work of the entrant and should not have been previously published, broadcasted, or accepted for publication by any magazine or won competitions elsewhere.
Copyright: While copyright remains with the author, Ledbury Poetry reserves the right to utilize entries for various purposes, including performances at the Festival, radio, TV, internet publication, anthologies, or publicity.
Acknowledgement: An automated acknowledgment of the entry will be sent. Participants are advised to check their Spam or Junk folders if they do not receive one.
Judge's Decision: The decision of the judge is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging process.
Prize Withholding: Ledbury Poetry reserves the right to withhold prizes if deemed necessary.
Disqualification: Entries not complying with competition rules will be disqualified.
Notification of Winners: Winners, runners-up, and highly commended entries will be notified directly once the judging is completed. Details of the winners' event in 2025 will be sent in due course.
