Teach India fellowship
Teach India fellowship
Teach for India was founded in 2008 by a group of activists. The program's objective is to encourage the youths to share their expertise with children from low-income families and make education accessible to all.
The Teach For India Fellowship is an opportunity for India’s brightest and most promising individuals, from the nation’s best universities and workplaces, to serve as full-time teachers to children from underserved communities in some of the nation’s most under-resourced schools.
Through this experience of teaching in classrooms and working with key education stakeholders like students, principals, and parents, our Fellows get exposed to the grassroots realities of India’s education system and begin to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to attain positions of leadership in education and identify their role in building a wider movement for educational equity in the country.
Teach for India Fellowship invites college students, professionals, and entrepreneurs with leadership qualities to teach underprivileged children. The Teach for India Fellowship program is for two years. The selected fellows will teach significant subjects such as English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science to children from class I to class X. They will work as full-time teachers in under-resourced government schools or low-income private schools. The selected fellows will receive a monthly salary and HRA as Teach for India Fellowship benefits.
