Muskaan Scholarship
The Muskaan Scholarship, a CSR initiative by Valvoline Cummins Pvt Ltd, aims to provide financial support to underprivileged children, enabling them to access education. This year, they've granted scholarships to 1300 students, totaling over 2000 since the program started. Recipients also benefit from mentoring by VCPL employees, with plans to assist even more students in the future.
Documents Required
Here is a summary of the documents required for the scholarship application: Student's Documents: 1. Photograph: Must be current (not older than 6 months). 2. Proof of Parent's Profession: a. LMV Driving License of Parent (Front and Back): Only if the parent's profession is a driver. b. Proof of Mechanic: Only if the parent's profession is a mechanic. You may need to upload a self-declaration form available on the website. c. Proof of EWS (Economically Weaker Section): Only if the family income is less than 8 lakhs annually. You can submit proof of annual income issued by the Government or a self-declaration form from the website. 3. Proof of Current Enrollment: A valid ID card issued by your school/college or a bonafide certificate issued by the school/college for the academic session 2023-24. 4. Last Year Marksheet: Your last year's final mark sheet issued by your school/college. It should be signed and stamped by the school/college authorities. 5. Proof of Identity: a. School-issued ID card. b. Aadhar card issued by the Government. c. Birth certificate. Educational Expense Receipts (for 2023-24): 1. School Receipt: The school receipt for the current year (2023-24) should be signed and stamped by the school. 2. Uniform Receipt: The uniform receipt should have a GST number. If not, a cash memo is acceptable, but it must contain the name of the shop, address, phone number, and the shop owner's signature and stamp. 3. Book Receipt: The book receipt should also have a GST number. If not, a cash memo can be used, but it must include the name of the shop, address, phone number, and the shop owner's signature and stamp. 4. Stationery Receipt: Similar to the previous receipts, it should have a GST number. If not, a cash memo is acceptable, but it must contain the name of the shop, address, phone number, and the shop owner's signature and stamp. Ensure that you have all these documents ready and in the required format when applying for the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Muskaan Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: Currently enrolled in grades 9-12. Attained a minimum of 60% marks in their last year's final examinations. Parents' profession should be in the field of driving or mechanics, or the family's annual income should be less than INR 8 lakhs per annum.

Selection Process
The selection process for the scholarship program is as follows: 1. Application Assessment: All submitted application forms will be assessed, and eligible students will be shortlisted based on the provided information. 2. Due Diligence: The organizers will conduct due diligence of the applications, including verification of the submitted forms. They may contact the students for clarifications or request additional documents if necessary. 3. Online Interview: All shortlisted students will undergo an online interview as part of the selection process. The interview aims to evaluate the candidates further. 4. Final Selection: After the online interviews, the finalists will be selected for the scholarship. These students will be chosen based on their performance in the interview and the eligibility criteria. 5. Scholarship Disbursement: The scholarship money will be transferred to the bank account provided by the student, parent, or guardian in the application form. The scholarship amount will depend on the bills and receipts submitted by the applicant during the application process. Students can receive up to 12,000 rupees as part of this scholarship. This process ensures that deserving candidates are selected for the scholarship, and the funds are disbursed to support their educational expenses.
