Monetary Allowance: PMG (President's Medal for Gallantry): Rs. 6,000/- per month. GM (Medal for Gallantry): Rs. 2,000/- per month.
Other Requirements
Decoration: Recipients of the Gallantry Medal are honored with a distinguished medal and a scroll personally signed by the President of India. Who Can Nominate: Nominations can be submitted by the State Government, UT Administration, or the Administrative Controlling Department, highlighting the gallant acts of individuals deserving of this prestigious recognition. Selection Process: The MHA level Central Award Committee, presided over by the Union Home Secretary, meticulously considers and recommends nominations based on the exceptional acts of gallantry displayed by individuals in the line of duty. Approving Authority: The highest honor, the approval for the Gallantry Medal, is granted by the President of India, underscoring the significance and gravity of the recognition.
