Eligibility Criteria
These internships are applicable to engineering, bachelors degrees in various fields. Controls Engineer Internship: Responsibilities: Assist in managing Controls initiatives and driving continual improvement of PLC-related topics within the Body Shop. Learn to write, read, and change PLC code to support continuous improvement projects. Change PLC code to support SAS revision rollout and cleanup of faults generated by the new SAS revision. Contribute to various functions related to Controls development and improvement. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of PLC coding. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to train others and demonstrate project leadership. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application. Ability to complete three alternating work terms for co-op positions. Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week). Transfer students must have a GPA from the current university. Must attach a copy of unofficial transcript. Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. Product Development Navigation Internship: Responsibilities: Support the development of in-vehicle apps for upcoming feature concepts. Assist the validation engineering group with tasks such as validation of features, reporting defects, and creating product requirements. Support test drives on various topics, including vehicle readouts, prototype protection, and vehicle preparation. Assist in the development and testing of next-generation technology for autonomous driving. Aid in the development of proof of concepts for market-specific features. Set up app development environment, create basic app framework, test app, and iterate. Validate navigation features, benchmark competitor offerings, introduce new concepts, and explore potential product ideas. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college or university. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Completed at least 30 college credit hours at the time of application. Field of study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar. Technical Knowledge: Python, REST, Android, ROS, Computer Vision, or similar. Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only). Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interest in app development and/or automotive technology. Advanced communication skills and strong capacity for teamwork. High motivation for learning new technologies/processes in a dynamic working environment. Ability to express technical knowledge in English. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Self-motivated and adaptable to a dynamic environment. Brand Communications And Strategy Internship: Responsibilities: Assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies. Support coordination of marketing campaigns and events. Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, experiential, and sales. Contribute to the creation of vehicle moves, ensuring vehicles are clean and arrive on time per scheduled shoots. Maintain brand consistency across all communications. Provide administrative support as needed, such as scheduling meetings and organizing files. Learn and apply industry best practices in brand communication and marketing. Organize, build, and document all department items in compliance with ISO 9001. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college or university. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Completed at least 30 college credit hours at the time of application. Field of study: Business and/or Marketing. Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only). Experience in Marketing and/or Product Management. Team player and willing to collaborate with international and inter-departmental colleagues. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Comfortable with public speaking in an office setting. Experience with JIRA and Confluence preferred. Product And Training Rolls-Royce Internship: Responsibilities: Update and manage ongoing training reports. Send communication for course enrollments, events, or other targets. Create training templates and support product resource development. Restructure online resource portal. Consolidate and draft course/curriculum feedback. Prepare meeting minutes for course planning. Support special fleet projects. Oversee preparation of event Atelier shipping and receiving. Participate in event support related to client support, fleet support, and administrative. Support training event planning and execution. Update internal project tracking. Maintain online resource portal. Process dealer and internal system access. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college or university. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Completed at least 30 college credit hours at the time of application. Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript. Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week). Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only). Background in systems infrastructure. Automotive dealership knowledge preferred. Training or teaching experience preferred. Project management experience. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. Ability to manage multiple complex projects. Ability to lead without authority to deliver these projects. Ability to collaborate better to achieve a common goal.
