Eligibility Criteria
Be a current student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a strong academic record. Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, or GO. Possess coding proficiency and hands-on experience in a relevant field through previous internships or work experience. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Have a good understanding of computer applications and software. Be capable of working independently. The candidate should be available for up to 7 months to participate in the internship and should be willing to work either full-time or part-time as part of the internship. Available to work 12 weeks with 40+ hours/week in full time internship period. Express eagerness to learn about the processes involved in the design, development, and operation of products. Internship Of Thermal R & D: Thermal Engineering is the team behind the Tesla Heat Pump, Supermanifold, Octovalve, Superbottle, Airwave, Bioweapon Defense Mode, and more. Our multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, aerodynamics, and thermal engineers works together across all phases of development from idea inception, through prototyping, production, and fleet support. Testing – instrumentation, data acquisition, and processing are critical for hardware / model validation and investigating new architectures. Analysis – detailed and reduced-order thermal model development and studies are heavily leveraged for hardware optimization, controls, and vehicle diagnostics. Success in this role will help us drive forward vehicle performance, supercharge capability, occupant comfort, and NVH. Internship Of Architecture & Design, Infrastructure Development: Tesla has an outstanding regional opportunity for an Architecture intern to join our dynamic Infrastructure Development team. The intern will support the design team in various tasks listed below. We’re seeking self-motivated professionals with experience working in AutoCAD & Revit to drive projects. Support the team with the execution of the design development process – from test fit, concept design, management of survey and due diligence with external consultants. Support coordination of all technical and business needs required from stakeholders and transform them into a concept drawing based on site-specific conditions. Support prototype team with prototype updates and block development as needed. Support review construction documents and shop drawings. Internship Of Software Engineer, Linux Update Systems: The Update Systems teams build and maintain the Linux services that perform the Over-the-Air (OTA) update of Tesla's vehicle and energy products spanning across both our customer and engineering fleets. In addition to infotainment and autopilot software updates, our systems orchestrate the update of a wide array of other components ranging from individual body controllers to navigation map data and video games. Deliver high reliability C and Go code for updating firmware or software components on Linux hosts or attached peripherals. Work with a variety of teams to design, develop, and integrate new software update mechanisms and flow. Troubleshoot update issues and work closely with our validation teams to build testing infrastructure for more resilient systems. Analyze fleet update metrics to find potential issues and suggest improvements.
