The Odisha government started the KALIA scheme to provide benefits to the farmers and now the opportunity of KALIA Scholarship has been provided by the same government to help the children of the beneficiaries of the KALIA scheme. KALIA Scholarship will be provided by the state government and through this scheme the children of selected farmers will be provided financial assistance under the Kalia scheme. Beneficiaries will be helped so that they can pursue their higher education. Students can take admission in government and vocational colleges and all the beneficiaries will be provided scholarship on the basis of merit.

Eligibility

An applicant who has taken admission on Cost sharing self financing and NRI are not eligible for the scheme.

The candidate who is pursuing any other scholarship is not eligible to apply.

Student can get this scholarship for only one professional course

After getting the scholarship for one professional course they are not eligible to get scholarship for a second professional course.

An applicant must be a permanent of the state

The applicant should be a child of the beneficiaries under Kalia

Yojana under two different components such as cultivator for cultivation and livelihood support to landless agricultural households

The candidate must have taken admission in government institute of the state on merit basis
