Prime Ministers Scholarship Scheme for Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles
The scholarship scheme which is presented by the Prime Minister of our country especially for the army officials is one of the most important scholarship schemes. The Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles Will be really helpful for the children of army people who are not able to continue their education due to the lack of financial funds or any other reason. Eligibility Criteria
For CAPFs & Assam Rifles: Wards/widows of deceased CAPFs & AR personnel who died in harness/election duty. Wards of personnel disabled due to causes attributable to Government service. Wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR personnel in receipt of Gallantry Awards. Wards/widows of retired and serving CAPFs & AR Personnel (Personnel below Officer Rank). Pursuing a first professional degree program in various fields such as Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Veterinary, BBA, BCA, B. Pharma, B.SC (Nursing, Agriculture, etc.), MBA, and MCA, etc. Minimum of 60% marks in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) i.e., 10+2/Diploma/Graduation or equivalent for new applicants. For renewal applicants, passing each subsequent academic year of the professional courses with a minimum of 50% marks is mandatory. A grace period of one year only for cases where there is a delay on the part of a candidate for the submission of the renewal application may be entertained. For State Police Forces: Dependent wards of State Police Personnel martyred during Terror/Naxal attacks are eligible. Pursuing a first professional degree program in various fields. Minimum of 60% marks in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) for new applicants. For renewal applicants, passing each subsequent academic year of the professional courses with a minimum of 50% marks is mandatory. A grace period of one year only for cases where there is a delay on the part of a candidate for the submission of the renewal application may be entertained. These criteria aim to support the education of eligible candidates associated with CAPFs, Assam Rifles, and State Police Forces. This scholarship is eligible courses are Engineering, Medical, Dental, Veterinary, BBA, BCA, B. Pharma, B.SC (Nursing, Agriculture, etc.), MBA, and MCA, in various fields.

The following amount will be given in this scholarship: Rs. 3000/-per month for girls. To be paid annually after selection. Rs. 2500/- per month for boys The total amount awarded is Rs. 36,000 for each girl and Rs. 30,000 for each boy.
Terms and Conditions
1. To ensure the renewal of the scholarship for subsequent years, the students need to pass the professional course with at least 50% marks. 2. The scholarship can be tenable for up to 5 years depending upon the duration of the course pursued by the applicant. 3. The selected students will also receive a personal letter from the Honourable Prime Minister. 4. The students admitted in the second year of professional/technical bachelor degree courses through lateral entry can also apply for the scholarship. 5. The selected scholars will receive the scholarship amount directly into their bank accounts through the PFMS (Public Finance Management System) under the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) program.
