The government of Bihar has launched the Bihar Post Matric SC ST Scholarship. Through this scholarship scheme, the government is going to provide scholarships to those students who belong to scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories. All those students who want to take benefit of this scheme are required to register on the post-matric scholarship portal.

Objective Of Bihar Post Matric SC ST Scholarship:

The main objective of the Bihar post matric SC ST scholarship is to provide scholarships to those students who belong to scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories.

Through this scheme, financial assistance will be provided in order to pursue higher education

Now students are not required to depend on anyone for fulfilling their financial needs concerning education.

As the government of Bihar is going to provide them scholarship.

This scheme is going to improve the literacy rate which will ultimately lead to the generation of employment.

Eligibility:

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar

Applicant must belong to scheduled caste or scheduled tribe category.

The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 250000.

Through this scholarship scheme, the government is going to provide scholarships to those students who belong to the scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories only.

Benefits:

Maintenance allowance of up to INR 1200 per month (for hostellers) and INR 550 per month (for day scholars) for 10 months.

An additional allowance of up to INR 240 per month for students with disabilities.

Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.

Study tour charges of up to INR 1600 per annum.

Thesis typing and printing charges of up to INR 1600 for research scholars.
