Indian Institute of Technology Madras Summer Fellowship
The IITM – Summer Fellowship Programme spans two months and offers a stipend. It is meticulously crafted to foster awareness and cultivate interest in high-quality academic research among young students in Engineering, Management, Sciences, and Humanities domains. The program centres around a goal-oriented summer mini-project hosted at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM).

  • Letter from the Institute: Should certify that you are a bonafide student issued by the Head of Institution (download template of UG/DD bonafide and PG Bonafide)

    Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants must be Indian citizens to be eligible to apply.
  • This fellowship is exclusively open to both genders.
  • This fellowship is exclusively open to General, OBC SC & STcategories.
  • Currently pursuing the 3rd year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg) or the 3rd or 4th year of an Integrated M.E./M.Tech. program.
  • Alternatively, candidates in their 1st year of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A or MBA programs may also apply.
  • Must possess an outstanding academic background, evidenced by high ranks in university examinations.
    Applicants should showcase their academic achievements, including but not limited to:
    1. Papers presented at seminars.
    2. Projects executed.
    3. Participation in design contests.
    4. Scores/ranks obtained in Mathematics Olympiad.
    5. Any other awards or distinctions received.
  • Eligible candidates must not be students of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
