Inspire Scholarship for Girls
  • Inspire Scholarship 2023 or Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) is a kind of endowment which is managed under the Department of Science and Technology. DST Inspire is offered online to search for talents in science and to motivate young, talented youths to involve in different science-based activities.
  • The main feature of DST inspire is that it does not believe in testing abilities, the candidates are selected based on educational beliefs and knowledge.
    Inspire schemes has three formations –
  • Inspire fellowship for Early Attraction of Talent
  • DST Inspire Fellowship for Higher Education/ Inspire SHE Scholarship
  • Assured Opportunity for Research Careers (AORC)

    Eligibility:
  • Applicants must have passed 12th in 2022 and must be studying B.Sc. or M.Sc. Natural Science.
  • The candidate’s age should be between 17 to 22 years of age.
  • Must have a bank account in SBI (only in the name of the applicant).
  • Candidates must come under 1% of successful students with a strong academic background.
  • They must have enrolled themselves in Natural and Basic Sciences doing B.Sc, BS, and integrated M.Sc./ MS level in the same year when they pass 12th.
  • Students must come under 10,000 ranking in JEE of IIT, AIEEE ( top 20,000) and must have cleared CBSE - Medical (AIPTM) if pursuing natural/ basic sciences courses.
  • Applicants must be top 10,000 rankers in the Joint Entrance Examination of IIT, AIEEE (top 20,000 rankers) and would have cleared CBSE –Medical (AIPTM) and must be studying natural/ basic sciences.
  • Students studying at the Indian Institute of Science and Research (IISER), National Institute of Science, Education, and Research (NISER), Department of Atomic Energy Centre for basic sciences (DAE-CBS) at the University of Mumbai for the courses like B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees.
  • Subjects that come under Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) are:Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Astrophysics, Astronomy, Electronics, Microbiology, Geophysics, Ecology, Marine Biology, Genetics, BioPhysics, Physics, Ocean Sciences, Chemistry.
  • Note:
  • It should be mentioned by the head of the institute about the performance of the report for the current academic year.
  • The scholarship will be disseminated only after checking the performance of the student in the current year.
  • Candidates already getting any other scholarships are not eligible.
  • Rewards:
  • INR 80,000 to the selected candidate.
  • Yearly scholarship of INR 60,000 for 12 months i.e. 5000 per month.
  • INR 20,000 for important summer research.
  • Inspire scholarship 2023 result i.e. the list of candidates will be announced the next year 2023 in April –May.
    • Documents Required
  • Your passport size photograph – 50kb size.
  • Community/ Caste certificate if belongs to OBC/ SC/ ST category – size < 1 MB.
  • Eligibility/ advisory note by state/ central board – size < 1 MB.
  • Marksheet of class 12th < 1 MB.
  • Certificate showing rank in JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ NEET/ KVPY/ JBNSTS/ NTSE/ International Olympic medalists (if you fall under this category)- size < 1 MB.
  • Your endorsement form signed by your college principal/ director of the institute/ registrar of the university- 1 MB size.
