KALIA Scholarship
The Kalia Scholarship is a significant initiative introduced by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Government of Odisha, to provide financial support for the education of children belonging to farming families registered under the Kalia Yojana. The Kalia Scholarship stands as a testament to the government's commitment to uplift farming families by creating opportunities for education and skill development, ultimately fostering sustainable growth and empowerment.

    Eligibility Criteria
  • The candidate must be a permanent resident of the state of Odisha.
  • Parents of students must be enrolled in the Kalia Yojana, which is a government initiative to support small, landless, and marginal farmers in Odisha.
  • The parents of the students should be engaged in agriculture and categorized as small, landless, and marginal farmers in the state of Odisha.
  • The scholarship is open to students from different categories, including General, OBC, SC, and ST.
  • Students must be enrolled in either a government college or a vocational college to be eligible for the Kalia Scholarship.
  • Students are allowed to enroll in only one type of scholarship scheme under the Kalia scholarship at a given time. However, they may switch from one scholarship to another as per their eligibility.
  • Students must be pursuing professional courses to be eligible for the scholarship. The specified courses include Animal Husbandry, Agriculture and Allied Sciences, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, and other related fields.
  • Students can avail the scholarship benefits for only one professional course.
  • Applicants are encouraged to apply exclusively for the Kalia Scholarship and not simultaneously apply for other scholarship programs.
  • The scholarship is applicable to the following fields of study in agriculture & Allied Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Architecture, Ayurvedic, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Dental, Engineering – B.Tech Course, Fishery, Forestry, Homeopathy, Hotel Management, I.T.I. / I.T.C., M. Sc, Tech., M. Sc., M. Sc.
