The Ladli Laxmi Yojana aims to improve the sex ratio in Madhya Pradesh and create a positive mindset towards having girl children. It also aims to enhance the education and health status of girls, reduce the population growth rate, and promote family planning. The program aims to provide a bright future for girls and prevent female feticide/infanticide, while also discouraging child marriage and encouraging marriage at a legally acceptable age. Overall, the program seeks to create an enabling environment for the development of the girl child Ladli Laxmi Yojna Eligibility: The girl child must have been born on or after January 1, 2006 The parents should be natives of Madhya Pradesh The parents should not be income taxpayers The family should have adopted family planning after the second child's birth, and have two or fewer children The first-born girl child will receive benefits without the requirement of family planning, but for the second-born girl child, the mother or father must adopt family planning to receive benefits Ladli Laxmi Yojna Eligibility in Special Cases: In families with a maximum of two children where the mother or father has died, registration can be done until the girl child is five years old. However, if the woman or man gets married for the second time and already has two children, then the daughter born from the second marriage will not be eligible for the scheme's benefits Even if there are three girls born together during the first delivery, all three girls will be eligible for the benefits of the Ladli Laxmi Yojana Girls born to women prisoners in jail who meet the eligibility criteria will also be eligible for the scheme's benefits The benefits of the scheme will be given to a girl child born to a rape victim or any other girl child who meets the eligibility criteria Benefits of Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2023 The government issues an assurance certificate of Rs. 1,18,000/- in the name of the registered girl child Scholarships are also provided to the registered girl child: Rs. 2000/- on admission to Class 6th, Rs. 4000/- on admission to Class 11th, and Rs. 6000/- on admission to Class 12th Upon admission to a graduate or professional course (with a duration of at least two years) after Class 12th, Ladli girls will receive an incentive of Rs. 25000/- in two equal installments during the first and last year of the course. The government will also bear the tuition fee for their higher education (graduation) Finally, there is a provision for a final payment of Rs. 1.00 lakh to be made to the girl child upon completing 21 years of age, after appearing in the Class 12th examination, or on marriage (after attaining the age prescribed by the government)
