Maintenance allowance benefits are extended to SC (Scheduled Caste) students enrolled in professional courses and residing in hostels affiliated with professional colleges. This allowance aims to provide essential financial support for course-related expenses such as books, stationary, accommodation, and meals.

The Maintenance Allowance for Students Pursuing Professional Courses is designed to provide crucial financial support to SC students, ensuring that they can focus on their education and achieve their academic goals.

Documents Required

Caste Certificate

Parent's Income Certificate

College Admission Receipt

Warden Letter (if the student is not admitted to a hostel)

Registration/Application ID with the Government of India post-matric

Eligibility Criteria

Student must be enrolled in a professional course.

Student must hold a scholarship from the Government of India.

Annual income limit as per the Government of India scholarship scheme should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.

Students pursuing professional courses and residing in hostels (Government, Institute Hostel, or external) are eligible.

i) Course duration between 4 to 5 years: ₹700 per month (₹7000 annually)
ii) Course duration between 2 to 3 years: ₹500 per month (₹5000 annually)
iii) Course duration below 2 years: ₹500 per month (₹5000 annually)

For Students Eligible for Government Hostels but Not Admitted:
i) Course duration between 4 to 5 years: ₹1000 per month (₹10000 annually)
ii) Course duration between 2 to 3 years: ₹700 per month (₹7000 annually)
