National Scholarship For Postgraduate Studies
The University Grants Commission has initiated the Postgraduate Scholarship for Professional Courses to provide financial assistance to students belonging to the SC/ST category. This scholarship aims to support individuals from economically weaker sections in pursuing professional courses such as Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Management. The primary objective is to offer opportunities for candidates to pursue higher education. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply for this scholarship program.

    Eligibility Criteria
  • The applicant must belong to the SC/ST category.
  • The candidate should be in the first year of professional courses during the academic year.
  • The candidate must be studying in a university, institution, or college recognized under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act.
  • They should be enrolled in a deemed-to-be-university included under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
  • Candidates must be studying in a university, institution, or college funded by the central or state government.
  • Alternatively, they should be enrolled in an institute of national importance.
  • The student must be pursuing professional courses such as MCI, DCI, PCI, RCI, NCTIS, and NCTE from AICTE, ICAR, INC, forensic laboratory, and the Development Authority of India.

  • Students pursuing M.E/M.Tech courses will be awarded a scholarship amount of Rs. 7,800 per month.
  • Candidates enrolled in other professional courses will receive a scholarship amount of Rs. 4,700 per month.
  • M.E/M.Tech students will receive Contingency A of Rs. 15,000 per annum.
  • For other courses, students will be provided with Contingency A of Rs. 10,000 per annum.
  • The duration of the scholarship will be determined by the months of post-graduation courses.
