Post-Graduate (PG) Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holders 2023 is offered by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the MHRD scheme. Post-Graduate (PG) Merit Scholarships being offered to the deserving and talented undergraduate students who have secured 1st and 2nd rank at the UG level. Students who will be selected for the award of Post-Graduate (PG) Merit Scholarship can pursue a non-professional postgraduate program in any area of specialization from any institution of the country recognized by UGC. The main objective of this scholarship scheme is to attract talented students to pursue postgraduate studies.

Eligibility

Students who secured 1st and 2nd rank at the UG level will be eligible for the award of this scholarship. Such students have to submit proof of their merit position at an undergraduate level along with the proof of admission in PG courses.

Candidates have to complete undergraduate studies in streams like life sciences, physical sciences, earth sciences, chemical sciences, social sciences, commerce, mathematical sciences, and languages.

This scholarship scheme is available only for those students who have taken admission in regular and full-time PG courses in any recognized deemed University, private University, autonomous college, or post-graduate college.

At the time of admission, the maximum age limit of the student is 30 years.
