Promotion of Science Education POSE Scholarship
The Promotion of Science Education (POSE) Scholarship is a valuable scholarship initiative established by the Department of Science and Technology, Haryana. This scholarship aims to provide support to students currently enrolled in medical courses or programs contributing to the scientific advancement of the nation. It is designed for students with a keen interest in dedicating themselves to scientific pursuits and pursuing courses related to science and technology. The POSE Scholarship serves as a means to encourage and empower aspiring individuals in the field of science education.

  • Signature of the applicant
  • Photograph of the applicant
  • 10th standard certificate
  • 12th Class Certificate
  • B.Sc./B.A. Class Certificate (mandatory for the students applying for a 2-year M.Sc.)
  • Certificate of admission from the Head/Principal/Registrar/Director of the college/university/institute. (as per annexure-I)
  • Rural area school certificate of class 11th & 12th if claimed 3% additional weightage. (as per Annexure-II & II- A)
  • Declaration from the student

    Eligibility Criteria
  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • The applicant should be a domicile of Haryana.
  • The applicant must be pursuing medical courses or courses related to scientific development.
  • The scholarship is available for students pursuing courses that contribute to scientific development.
  • The POSE Scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in the following courses: 3-year B.Sc./4-year BS/5-year integrated M.Sc./M.S. courses and 2-year M.Sc. courses in basic and natural science subjects.
  • The scholarship covers a range of subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, Geology, Astrophysics, Astronomy, Electronics, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Anthropology, Microbiology, Geophysics, Geochemistry, Atmospheric Sciences, and Oceanic Sciences.
    • For 3-year B.Sc./4-year BS/5-year integrated M.Sc./M.S.:
  • Must have passed Class X and XII Board examinations from a school in Haryana with a minimum of 85% marks for Haryana Board schools and 90% marks for other boards (CBSE, ICSE, etc.) in the 12th class.
    • For 2-year M.Sc.:
  • Must have passed X, XII, and B.Sc./B.A. (B.A. for M.Sc. Mathematics) from a school/college/university in Haryana with a minimum of 75% marks in the B.Sc./B.A. class.
  • Students selected under this scheme should not be entitled to any other scholarships.
  • Only regular students are eligible; those studying privately, through correspondence/distance mode, or in unrecognized institutions are not eligible.

  • For candidates enrolled in M.Sc. courses: INR 6,000 per month for 2 years.
  • For students enrolled in integrated 4/5-year courses: INR 4,000 per month for the first 3 years and INR 6,000 per month for the next two years.
  • Mentorship Grant of INR 12,000 for B.Sc. courses (3 years).
  • Mentorship Grant of INR 17,000 for B.S. courses (4 years).
  • Mentorship Grant of INR 22,000 for integrated M.Sc. courses (5 years).
