The Tata Steel Millennium Scholarship is a dedicated initiative designed to offer financial assistance to eligible individuals engaged in higher education across diverse fields. This scholarship is inclusive, extending its benefits to the sons, daughters, and spouses of current workers, supervisors, and officers of Tata Steel, as well as those affiliated with superannuated and transferred employees.
As part of this program, Tata Steel Corporation introduces a Technical Institute scholarship catering to students enrolled in technical courses at renowned universities across India. It is essential to note that this scholarship is exclusively granted to the top 5 overall rank holders among the applicants. Applications are actively encouraged from sons, daughters, and spouses of Workers, Supervisors, and officers of the Company aspiring to avail the esteemed Tata Steel Millennium Scholarship.

    Eligibility Criteria
  • Sons/Daughters/Spouse of all existing workers, supervisors, and officers of the Company.
  • Sons/Daughters/Spouse of superannuated workers, supervisors, and officers of the Company, including those separated under ESS/SBKY/Job for Job/MSS/EFBS/FBS/FSS/FPS/Second Inning.
  • Sons/Daughters/Spouse of workers, supervisors, and officers of Tata Steel who were transferred on the rolls of JUSCO.
  • Aforementioned candidates who have secured admission in the full-time and regular courses as detailed below in the academic year 2022-23 are eligible to apply. Postal/Correspondence courses will not be considered.
  • 10% of seats are reserved for SC/ST students in each category of the Scholarship scheme.
  • 60 seats are reserved for wards where the employee has availed of current Sunhere Bhavishya Ki Yojana (SBKY) –( 2.0 / 3.0) (20 seats in category-A & 40 seats in category-B).
  • Preference will be given to the physically challenged wards of employees.
  • Scholarships under the category A & B as mentioned are also awarded to Candidates perusing full-time graduation /Post graduation degree courses from a recognized University/ Institute outside India.
  • The Millennium Scholarship Committee will decide on the eligibility of the university/ institute Outside India and the category (A or B) for awarding Millennium Scholarship.
  • This scholarship eligible courses are B.E, M.B.B.S, Diploma, Engineering, Professional course, Medical, Bachelors, Masters degrees in various fields.
    • Discipline details: i) Integrated degree courses in Medicine or Engineering (any branch), including extension centers of BITS Pilani and BIT-Mesra.
    ii) Postgraduate studies in Engineering, Medicine, Computer Sciences, Business Management, Personnel Management, Agriculture Science, Bio-Technology, Bio-Chemistry, Information Technology, B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Management.
    iii) Diploma course in any branch of Engineering.
    iv) Degree or full-time diploma courses in Hotel Management & Catering and Fashion Technology.
    v) Five-year Degree Course in Law, Five years integrated courses in Law.
    vi) Degree course in Journalism / Mass- media Communication. vii) Sports Management.

    Category A:
  • Under this category, the scholarships are to be awarded to the students who have got admission through Joint Entrance Exams for B.Tech/ Degree in Engg. in IITs/IT BHU/ ISM Dhanbad/ PGDM courses in IIMs / XLRI (two years) or from the institutions are entitled to apply for the scholarship.
  • The selected candidates will be awarded a scholarship amount of Rs. 75000/- (Fifty Thousand) per annum.
  • This will include students studying MBBS (4.5 yrs.) in all State, Private & Central Government Medical Colleges admission through NEET. No Internship payment will be given to candidates studying MBBS Course.
  • The students who are studying the MBBS course will not be provided with Internship payment.
  • Under Category A, a total of 120 numbered scholarships are available.
    • Category B:
  • Under this category, no postal course will be considered for the scholarship.
  • The candidates who have got admission to any of the professional courses in the Institutions mentioned below are to be awarded this scholarship under this category.
  • A total of 360 scholarships will be awarded to the candidates. Out of a total of 240 are given to B category students.
  • In Category B, scholarship amounts of Rs. 36000/- (Twenty-four thousand) per annum are to be awarded.
